Hello KOU Families,

We hope your families are safe and healthy. We thank you for your patience while we have been
working to figure things out during this uncertain time.

It is with deep disappointment I am informing you that PA West last Wednesday (4/22) made the
difficult decision to cancel the spring season due to the lingering health concerns from the pandemic.
All soccer activities at this time until at least June 1st are cancelled. The cancellations include State Cup,
Presidents Cup, and the Edinboro Open. Further, it is understood that likely there will be no
independently hosted club tournaments later in the summer due to the fact that there is no guarantee
that the health crisis might not return.

PA West, despite cancelling the official season is hopeful and raised the possibility of holding some
manner of a season in June should the health crisis in our county be resolved and we are able to safely
come together again.

In response to the season’s cancellation, we will be providing registration refunds to all families that
newly registered for the spring season. Understanding that just about everything is difficult at this time,
we will be providing FULL refunds. The club will absorb the cost of the newly purchased travel jerseys to
return a little more money to each family.

Please note that jerseys for new spring players and any personal apparel will be given to the head
coaches for distribution to their players.

parent from each family to complete it as soon as they are able. The survey will ask you a few short but
important questions about your refund and hopes for any type of organized soccer activities conducted
by KOU this summer. Specifically, we will be using the survey to determine if families are seeking
immediate refunds or if they are agreeable to Fall Season credits if they intend to play. We are looking
to enable the credit/refund to be applied according to each player if there are multiple children
registered and in different programs. More information about the potential credit option in lieu of a
refund will be forthcoming.

Once we receive your response this week, we will make preparations to issue any requested refunds to
the credit card used for payment. So please respond quickly so we can determine the total number of
refunds to be issued next week.

Looking forward, should we have the opportunity to offer some manner of organized soccer activities
through PA West or internally, the club will not be seeking any new fees to cover those associated costs.
We are confident we can cover them and hopeful to provide some amount of soccer this summer at no
cost to families.

Lastly, you should know it is not likely we will be hosting our Soccer Camp through Challenger
International in July. Since the situation is ever evolving the final determination may change if our
community conditions change. I am in the process of reviewing things with Challenger and will update
you as soon as I know.
