Becoming a referee is not difficult. First, you need to obtain the required
background checks. Then successfully complete a referee certification program. Typically, the PA West certification programs for new referees take place January - March. New referee training consists of both online and classroom instruction.
Here is a list of classes for new referee certification and re-certification. Complete instructions for the process can be found on the PA West referee
site.
Once you have completed the required clearances and certifications inform the club assignor. You will be directed to send proof of your certification and clearances to Peggy Neason. You will need to send a self addressed stamped envelope to receive your badge. Without your official badge you will not be permitted to referee.
